2. What we collect
- Contact and quote forms: your name, company, email address, phone number, project location and details, and any documents or drawings you upload.
- Job applications: your name, contact details, the position you are applying for, your motivation and your CV.
- Communication: emails, WhatsApp messages and calls you send us.
- Technical information: your IP address and basic browser information, used for security (for example spam protection) and to keep the website working.
Please don’t send us special personal information (such as health, religious or biometric information) or information about children unless we ask for it.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotes and tender submissions.
- To consider job applications and contact shortlisted candidates.
- To register and manage suppliers, subcontractors and partners.
- To protect the website and our forms against spam and abuse.
- To meet our legal, tax and contractual obligations.
We process your information because you have given consent (when you tick the consent box on a form), because it is needed to take steps towards a contract you have asked for, or because we have a legitimate interest or legal obligation to do so. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for unsolicited direct marketing.
4. Who we share it with
We only share your information when needed, with:
- our website hosting and email service providers, who store it on our behalf;
- Google, for reCAPTCHA spam protection and the embedded map on our Contact page;
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp;
- professional advisers, clients or main contractors where needed for a project you are involved in;
- authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may store information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers that are subject to laws or agreements giving a level of protection similar to POPIA.
5. Cookies
This website uses essential cookies to work properly and to remember your cookie-notice choice. Google reCAPTCHA and Google Maps may set their own cookies, which are covered by Google’s privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features (such as submitting forms) may then not work.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and quote requests for as long as needed to respond and for any resulting project, and for up to five years afterwards for record-keeping. We keep CVs for up to 12 months so that we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner. We keep records longer only where the law requires it.
7. How we protect it
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include restricted admin access, secure connections, spam protection on forms, and randomised file names for uploaded documents. No system is completely secure, so please don’t email highly sensitive documents unless needed.
8. Your rights
Under POPIA you may:
- ask whether we hold your personal information, and request a copy;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to delete it where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it;
- object to processing, or withdraw your consent at any time;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
To exercise these rights, contact our Information Officer using the details above. We may need to verify your identity first.
9. Information Regulator
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
